Bushabout - Mar. April 09 South West W.A.

As we start out tour's down under from Thailand and few photo's to start!

Big business in Thailand, hundered's of these along the market street in Had Yai

Never know when some welding may be required in an emergency to get us out of trouble.

Now have the gear onboard, rod's, face mask and can make up clamps and leads if required, plus two or three 12v batteries inline will do the trick.

Chico & Yoko were also heading off home and treated us all to dinner.

The new paint job looks great and a vast improvement!
As soon as we got our vehicle back it was off up bush to Trayning to visit Derek, Kerry and meetup with Chris Ford, Jim & Carol, to put 'FORDIE' to rest, around a lemon tree Peter had planted.

Called into visit Llyal & Fiona whom live in the hills on the GE Hwy.

A great lunch and dinner followed after the swim. Thanks folks!

Oh! well, Jim did all the welding and a great job.

5 days getting organised and we were on the road again, Jim and Carol were also

off in a few days heading over east for 6 weeks.

They lasted 4 weeks and drove 13,000K's. Motel / Hotel livin' is not much fun!

Timber country down south. 46K's West of Walpole. 240K's for the day's drive in light rain, and winding roads. Good average of 68kph.

The gas conversion has sure made a difference on the pulling power of the Landcrusier.

Ya! gotta get the tongue right, for it to work!

This German lass walking the trail by herself, estimated duration 8 weeks!

Only a couple of miles to her next camp hut.

Self sown tomatoes, bugger not here long enough for them to rippen!

This is a 1st in the wild, just west of 12 mile beach Hopetoun.

scene of 12 & 5 mile beach east of Hopetoun

Visiting with friend we meet at Cliff Heads in Oct. 08.

Ah here's the Owners of Susie & Pepper, will catch-up with them again up the coast possible at Onslow, Ashburton River. Now heading to Alexander Bay.

Gary pasting the Wasabi on, just don't run your eye!

Yep, 291k's later rolled into camp at Alexander Bay 100k's east of Esperence to meet up with Gary & Pam (ex Ningaloo & Bush Bay) and into party mode for Garys 49th Birthday and my 56th!

Gary, Pam, Sue & Norm

As it is a beach launch and get's a bit hairy in the surf, we left our tinnie on the vehicle and I was Gary's deckie.

Some magic coast line and islands.

Trolling with a small yellow and white clouser fly used for fly fishing up north. The birds taking an interest!

Very few Aussie Salmon running this season, even the net fisherman claiming it's the worst season in 20 odd years.

Makes it easier for beach launching!

Yeah! the March Flies were friendly!

This was one of the magic days, but two weeks at Alexander Bay and it was getting colder and wetter by the day, time to start heading north to warmer clime's.

Heading to the Ashburton River via Kal, Wiluna, Mt Agustus, Kennedy Range, Canarvon.
